Recent News

November 2009 - The Short film Untitled 6 has been bought for Worldwide distribution on all media by Shorts International. Details coming soon, but the distribution process begins this month. The film stars Frederic Gessiaume, Nathalie Bienvenu and Damien Gajda, who is also starring in the feature film Paris 60. Following this news, the film is no longer available for viewing in the streaming viewing library.

Shooting has been completed on the short film Close Up, with Christina Cole and Peter Cadwell, and is now in post-production.

The Midnight eye 25 segments Fish and Sleeping Bob have been completed, and preparation for the last two segments is underway to start sometime before the end of the year. Starring Junichi Kajioka and Haruka Abe, and Gerardine Coyne, Maria Hodson and Damien McEvoy respectively.

Production on the science fiction short film The Hidden is to begin at the end of the month. A high concept detective story following an investigation being carried out by a special detective on the trail of a vicious criminal abduction syndicate. Part Noir, part creature feature.

Filming on the short film project Alice's Requiem is still ongoing.

September 2009 - The short film project Close-Up starring Christina Cole and Peter Cadwell is nearing the end of principal photography. Scenes were shot at the Robilant and Voena Gallery in London with their kind permission and support, and the final scenes will be shot on location around London.

Principal photography has also been completed on the Midnight eye 25 segment Fish with Junichi Kajioka and Haruka Abe. Shooting to commence on the remaining segments in the coming month.

Now available to view in the Streaming video library section of the site, is the short film Untitled 6 starring Frederic Gessiaume, Nathalie Bienvenu and Damien Gajda. Direct link here

Damien Gajda is also starring in the T.S. Ukpo feature film Paris 60 which is nearing the end of initial post-production and editing.

July 2009 - New short film project "Close Up" Adapted from a poem by actor/writer Peter Cadwell is now in pre-production for an early August shoot.

Peter is also starring in the film along with the actress Christina Cole (Lost in Austen, Jane eyre, Doctor Who, Doghouse, Casino Royale)

The film was cast by Jane Frisby, and will be shooting on 16mm.

Midnight Eye 25 will begin filming on the segment "Fish" by Tony Sebastian Ukpo in the coming weeks. The segment stars Haruka Abe (BBC 3's Ideal, The things I haven't told you) and Junichi Kajioka (Devils on the Doorstep, City of Life and death), and follows a Japanese man trying to make his way back home in the middle of the witching hour and the series of curious characters that he encounters.

Actresses Gerardine Coyne and Maria Hodson, stars of the Vertigoheights short film "No smoking in the waiting area" have now been cast in the Midnight Eye 25 segment "Sleeping Bob".

A full official page will be online soon with all details of the project, but until then all info can be found on the microsite in the feature film section, which now contains an updated image gallery of teaser posters.

A Call out has been made looking for participants in the documentary feature project "We speak of Love" See here for details.

In other news, pre-production on a music video for the artist Slow walk's track "The Wolf" has begun. More videos, including the spec commercial for "AXE" along with its directors cut extended version are available in the streaming video library section of the site.

May 2009 - Feature film slate section now online, (first image at head of site) including micro-site for Collaborative feature project Midnight Eye 25, which is now in pre-production for a summer start date to principal photography. More projects and features will be added to the page in the coming weeks, as well as information on a new independent feature crime/suspense drama.

A spec commercial done for the Kodak awards 2009, will also be online and available to watch in the streaming video library section of the site. "True blood" was done following a brief for Axe deodorant and was shot on 16mm.

Music video for the So Many Wizards song "I'm just like you" starring Haruka Abe, is also now viewable in the streaming video library in standard quality. The higher quality version of the video will be uploaded soon.

March 2009 - The Micro-site for feature film, Paris 60 is now up. Follow the relevant image, or for the hasty among you click here . The trailer can be found on the microsite, as well as through the streaming video library (link through mosaic photo image) Some of the features of the microsite, namely downloadable content and some other film information are yet to be added, so do check back for them.

Some head way is being made towards a new short film, working title "Alice's Requiem". Starring Emily Lucienne and Silvanna Maimone, as well as shooting the opening scene of Sci-Fi Feature film "The Nemesis of man", whose microsite will soon be updated as well.

Pre-production work is also underway on a new collaborative feature project called "Midnight Eye". More news on that soon.

DVD copies of short film "No Smoking in the Waiting Area" are also now available in form of a preview screener. The Press Kit of the film will soon be updated on the site and other info can be found at the film's IMDB listing. 3 other independent feature projects are bubbling in the works as we speak all at various stages. More news as it comes.

January 2009 - Happy New Year from Vertigoheights!

In recent news, Sun Jan 11th saw the premier screening of a special project done for Kino London for the Southbank centre's winter exhibition in a special construct called the Igloo. It was a short silent film, with the theme of "In from the cold". You can view the film in its entirety HERE .

The full title is "The last refuge in the last city on earth" and follows an explorer in an unnamed city, apparently abandoned and desolate, as he scavenges for supplies and signs of life. He comes across a home that for the most part is intact and has a brief glimpse of a life long since vanished.

In other news, the site is now in the process of being actively updated with a few more video links as well as other links related to the films and other future projects, including a video showreel. The news section should be updated more frequently. More news coming in the next week
